Cookie Policy

Last updated:

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They help the site remember information about your visit, such as whether you are logged in and which preferences you have set.

We use cookies in a minimal, purposeful way. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not sell or share cookie data with third-party marketers.

2. Cookies We Use

Essential cookies

These cookies are required for the platform to function. Without them, you cannot log in or use authenticated features.

  • Session token — keeps you securely logged in during your session
  • CSRF token — protects form submissions from cross-site request forgery
  • Preferences — stores basic UI settings like language or theme selection

Essential cookies cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

Analytics cookies — only if you allow them

On this website (kodata.pro) we measure traffic with Google Analytics 4 and with KO's own counter, so we can see which pages are worth keeping. Neither of them loads until you choose “Allow” in the cookie banner. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set.

These are the cookies set once you allow analytics:

CookieSet byLifetimePurpose
_gaGoogle Analytics 4up to 13 monthsTells one browser from another
_ga_CT7LMBZKS0Google Analytics 4up to 13 monthsKeeps the state of the current visit
_ko_uid, _ko_client_id, _ko_touch_idKO counterup to 13 monthsRecognises a returning browser so repeat visits are not counted as new people
_ko_visit_idKO counterup to 13 monthsTies the pages of one visit together
_ko_session_id, _ko_touch_id__sessionKO counteruntil you close the browserMarks the current session

The KO counter also keeps a few keys of the same purpose in your browser's local storage (_ko_*, ko.*). Declining — or withdrawing consent later — deletes both the cookies and those keys.

Advertising is switched off for these tags: Google Consent Mode runs with ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization denied at all times, whatever you choose. We have no advertising or remarketing tag on this site — no Meta Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no Google Ads tag.

Your choice itself

Your answer to the banner is stored in your browser's local storage under kc-consent. It is not a cookie, it never leaves your browser, and it carries nothing but the answer and its date. “Allow” is remembered for 12 months, “Decline” for 6 — after that we ask again.

3. What We Don’t Do

  • We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles
  • We do not share cookie data with ad networks
  • We do not track you across third-party websites
  • We do not use fingerprinting or other non-cookie tracking techniques

4. Managing Cookies

On this website, the quickest way is “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page: it reopens the banner, and your new answer takes effect immediately. Withdrawing consent deletes the analytics cookies and reloads the page, so that nothing already running keeps writing.

You can also control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View cookies currently stored
  • Block cookies from specific sites
  • Clear all cookies when you close your browser

Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to the KO platform. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect platform functionality.

5. Changes to This Policy

If we change how we use cookies in a meaningful way, we will update this page and the date above. We will not introduce tracking or advertising cookies without clear notice and, where required, your consent.
