The Reports area answers the question “how are we doing” — with numbers KO has collected from your connections. A report here is not a file and not an export: it is a set of sections sharing one period and one filter, stored in the project and open to the whole team.
What you see here
On the left is the list of the project’s reports. The standard ones come from KO, yours are below; the last item in the list is Add report…
The report itself is made of sections. A section is a table or a row of cards with its own toolbar, and each answers its own question:
- Metrics — the key numbers for the period: value, previous period, plan and a trend chart.
- Plan vs actual — metrics by period: metrics as rows, weeks or months as columns.
- Breakdown — metrics by the values of a field: channels or campaigns as rows, metrics as columns.
- Stages — CRM stages: how many deals sit at each one and for what amount.
- What to do now — priority actions selected from your reports, metrics and segments.
At the top is the report toolbar. It sets what applies to every section at once: period, filter, signals. Below, each section has its own toolbar that changes only that section.

One engine calculates the numbers in every section: the same metric over the same period gives the same value in different sections.
Set it up for your question
Period
The period pills sit on the left of the toolbar: 7d, 30d, 1m and others. Hover a pill and
the tooltip names the dates behind it. Calendar periods (1w, 1m, 1q) start at the
beginning of the week, month or quarter; rolling ones (7d, 30d) count back from today.
- Custom period — the calendar button next to the pills: any range of dates.
- Configure periods… — a command in the ··· menu: which pills stand in this report’s toolbar. By default the set is built from what its sections need.
Every section takes the report’s period. A section may show its own — then its pill is chosen in its own toolbar, and Use report period in that section’s ··· menu brings the common one back.
Filter
The Filter button limits the data of the whole report. Inside there are two parts:
- Project segments — ready-made slices configured in the Segments area of the project settings.
- Your own conditions — a field from the catalogue, an operator and a value. KO suggests values from your own data.
The most recent conditions appear as pills next to the button, so a frequent filter does not need the menu. Inside a section such a condition is shown as a From report pill: it can only be removed where it was set — in the report toolbar.
What the report is made of
- Add section… — pick a section type; it goes to the end of the report.

- Order and removal — in the ··· menu of the section itself: Up, Down, Delete section.
- Rename report…, Duplicate report — in the ··· menu of the report toolbar.
A standard report is edited like your own. The first edit makes your copy, and Reset to standard brings the original back. A report you created has Delete report instead of the reset.
Report settings — period, filter, the set of sections — are stored in the report itself, not in your browser: everyone who opens this report in your project sees them.
How to read it
Signals — a button in the report toolbar. This is what KO has noticed in the project’s data: a drop, a spike, data collection that has gone wrong. The list is shared across the project, and the popover raises what relates to this report’s metrics to the top. A signal can be hidden until things change — it comes back when the picture does.
Marks next to numbers. A tilde before a number means the value is approximate; the small sample mark means the number was calculated on a handful of events. They are covered in detail in the Metrics section overview: the rules are the same in every section.
A warning in a section — a short line saying that part of the data for the period is incomplete, or that there is nothing to calculate the metric from. This is not a report error: it shows what exists and says what is missing.
Share — the button explains how to give a colleague access right now: project access is granted in the Access area. There is no guest link to a single report yet; if you need one, write to us — we count such requests.
If there are no numbers
- This report has no sections yet — the report is created but empty. Press Add section…
- No data for this period — nothing was found for the chosen window. Take a longer period or drop conditions in the Filter.
- Nothing to calculate this metric from — the metric has a definition but no data behind it. The button leads to the Metrics area of the project settings.
- Nothing to break this field down by — the level chosen in Breakdown has no values for the period. Change the level or the period.
- The funnel is not mapped yet — in Stages, the CRM stages are not put in order. Mapping is done in the project settings, the Fields area.
If every section is empty at once, the problem is not the report but the data: check the Connections area, where you can see when each source was last loaded.
What’s next to this
- The Metrics section — how to read the key number cards.
- Set up a new project — the timezone, currency and first day of the week that every number in the report depends on.
- Website tracking and Facebook Ads — where the visits, leads and spend in the report come from.
